Realizing that the exact same variety has the potential to look like two completely different plants (Fig. 1–3), resulting only from their growing conditions, I began my experimentation. My goal was to reproduce, in cultivation, the dazzlingly bright reds, oranges, and yellows I was seeing in photography of wild Haworthia in their habitat.
